New Zealand group Fonterra settled on a partnership agreement with Chinese infant formula and nutritional milk brand, Beingmate, which resulted in the Chinese company taking ownership of Fonterra’s Darnum milk processing plant for a sum in the vicinity of $82 million*.

Other notable rural transactions included American group Laguna Bay’s $37 million* pastoral purchase in Skipton and QWIL Investments (a subsidiary of CK Life Sciences International) $15 million* acquisition of a vineyard asset near Robinvale in the Mallee.
